According to reliable sources, Theo Walcott could make a surprising return against Portsmouth. As said in the report below, he could be amongst others on the substitutes bench.
Arsenal midfielder Theo Walcott could make the substitutes bench against Portsmouth tomorrow after the England star shrugged off a back injury to resume training today.
Walcott wasn’t expected to play a part in Arsenal’s next two games, but according to Mirror Football’s John Cross, he returned to training yesterday and may now make the bench for Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The 20-year-old probably won’t be risked unless there are injuries in Arsenal’s midfield, though it’s a good sign that he’s back in training just days after sustaining another flare-up.

Just moments ago i read about an Arsenal fan winning £15,000 on Spurs to beat Liverpool last weekend. It’s always constant as a Gooner to see your rivals lose, so why bet on them to win?
Of course it wasn’t an important game if you consider it was only the first game of the season. Read this little report then vote below.
One Arsenal fan found himself cheering on Spurs on Sunday – as he scooped £15,000 on the New Football Pools.
Mr. Anderson, from Leicestershire, needed Spurs to beat Liverpool at White Hart Lane to win a share of the £30,000 jackpot of The New Football Pool’s prediction game.
He predicted the nine other Premiership matches correctly leaving his fate in Spurs’ hands.

(Champions League)
Tuesday 18th August 2009

Arsenal enjoyed the rub of the green as they established a commanding Champions League play-off lead against Celtic.
A Cesc Fabregas free kick on the stroke of half time flew into the net off the back of William Gallas as the defender crouched to avoid the ball.
And midway through the second half Celtic skipper Gary Caldwell diverted a Gael Clichy cross into his own net.
The goals were harsh on Celtic but the home side faded after an energetic first half and posed little threat.
The hosts worked hard to contain Arsene Wenger’s side but it was a largely comfortable evening for the Arsenal back four.

Arsenal could be set to sign a 15 year old from the states. It seems even over in America the “Soccer” world is becoming more and more established.
You can read the report from Young Guns below.
Arsenal are set to wrap up a deal for 15-year-old American starlet Luis Gil as the Gunners follow the latest European trend in snapping up the hottest American talent.
Benfica and Everton have made high profile signings from the USA with the likes of Freddy Adu and Anton Peterlin heading to Europe after honing their talents with various US Soccer Schools. Now exciting midfielder Gil looks set to become the latest name making waves across the Atlantic.
Luis is the second youngest player in the US Under 17 residency program and was one of the US Under 17 team’s top players in the recent CONCACAF Championships. A goal and two assists from the play-maker against Cuba set the tone for the California based Pateadores Soccer Club graduate. The American side failed to win the tournament but Gil especially was singled out for applause.
The Gunners have been on his trail for a number of months and stepped up their interest in May by inviting Luis to train full time at London Colney. Liam Brady is still assessing the youngster but it’s expected that he could seal a permanent place in the Arsenal Academy within weeks.
