Nicklas Bendtner has recently been in the spotlight quite a bit due to his new long term contract and undying want to become Arsenals striker. It is apparent, after completing a poll on September 7th, that fans agree  Bendtner is ready for the role and Arsene Wenger should give him a chance.

Well now it seems that Wenger, who in fact is very appreciative of Bendtner’s contribution to the team so far wants him to improve his goal scoring record.

Viewing this as a great opportunity to win over Wenger and understanding that the great attackers are measured in the number of goals that they score, Bendtner has confidently set a target of 20 goals for the season.

“In order to qualify as one of the worlds greatest attackers, then you are judged on the number of goals you score,”

“You could have all the characteristics but if you don’t score people can say “Yes, he knows all the stuff but he has just scored 10 goals in 40 games.’

“Of course that’s not a good record. I hope to see that I score 20-25 goals in 40 games.”

This gleam of confidence, enthusiasm, and determination is hard to come by and will be extremely beneficial for Arsenal in the upcoming matches as it will allow them to focus on the game rather than the drama that has seemed to be surrounding Arsenal these past few weeks.

Now after hearing that we would love to know if you think that Bendtner will be able to successfully meet his goal target.

We appreciate your votes and would love to hear any views that you have about his new attitude.

Theo Walcott has yet to feature for Arsenal this season, but it looks like things may soon change. Arsenal has established that Walcott will be returning shortly after this string of International matches.

Walcott has been recovering since the beginning of August from a back injury that he received in a pre-season match against Velencia.

The injury, which Arsene Wenger insists was due to a lack of rest over the summer months, has allowed Arsenal to utilize one of its large talents Robin van Persie in the front with Andrey Arshavin and Nicklas Bendtner as his sides.

It is still unclear if Walcott will be fit and prepared for the game against Manchester City or when exactly Walcott will be making his first appearance, but it is reassuring to know that one of Arsenal’s great players will soon be joining the rest of his team on the field.

Recently, Bendtner has been very anxious to move into his favorite position as a striker and it seems that he has been on Arsene Wenger’s case about it quite a bit.

“I am an attacker not a winger. I have always seen myself as a striker and it is my goal to play as a striker all the time”

“Last season I played a lot from the left side and this season from the right side but, like I said, I prefer to play up front.”

Still reluctant, Wenger seems to believe that this young player has time to grow and has yet to move him to the striker position.

We would like to hear from the fans if you think Bendtner is ready to move Robin van Persie to the side and take on the role of striker.

Here is the latest proof that Rooney is a diver! With the Uefa punishing Eduardo with a two game suspension for “intention to deceive the referee”, do you think FIFA should hit Rooney with the same charge?

Let’s just say, “Probably Not”, but hopefully the FIFA realizes that this is in fact “intention to deceive the referee” by Wayne Rooney.
