Arsenal will be duking it out with Liverpool at home on Wednesday in the fourth round of the Carlin Cup. Two new faces will be seen on the field tomorrow as Samir Nasri and Lukasz Fabianski make their first appearances this season, hopefully we will get to see what they can contribute to the Arsenal Football Club.
“Nasri comes back but Traore, who played in the last round is out,” said Wenger. “He has a groin problem.
“Fabianski will get a game too, he will start. But Jack had a knock on his ankle and will be out unfortunately. It is a question of days but we made a trial with him on Sunday and we are resigned to the fact he will be just too short to play.
Both Eduardo and Bendtner will be in the lineup as this will be their second match back after being injured, but sadly Denilson and Walcott will still be out.
Another youngster by the name of Aaron Ramsey will be in the lineup tomorrow and Wenger believes that he may have a regular spot on the starting lineup as Ramsey has quickly developed over the last 16 months and is showing many signs of improvement this year.
“If you consider he is only 18, Ramsey has developed exceptionally well,” he said.
“He has made a big improvement compared to last year, when he still looked a little bit like a youth player, but now he looks like a [first-team] player.
“He is really pushing hard, and the other midfielders have a lot of work to keep him out of the side because he is getting very close.
