Arsene Wenger, has come out insisting that his players not allow the thoughts of World Cup 2010 in South Africa pose a distraction on them and take them away from doing their job that the club is paying them for.
Journalists are continuously probing him with questions on how he is going to manage his squad as World Cup is just around the corner and some of his players may leave for international duties.
One of Arsenals great assets, Theo Walcott, is in focus as he has an integral role in Fabio Capello’s World Cup plan.
A furious Manager addressed the press conference, “Players should pay more attention on how they perform for Arsenal, not in the World Cup”.
“They are being paid not to have a big season at the World Cup, but for doing well at the Emirates.”
Wenger added that players should give importance to their country no doubt, but they must also have the people who pay them, on their priority list.
