Arsene Wenger is keeping his eye on the Bordeaux forward, Marouane Chamakh as one of his targets when the next transfer window open in a month.
Following a comprehensive 0-3 loss to London rivals at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal is looking to coming back hard against their opponents. The the fact that Robin Van Persie may not be available for the next few months has Wenger thinking about reviving his interest in the striker.
During the previous transfer window, there was a huge speculation of Chamakh coming over to the Emirates Stadium, but it never happened. There were rumors that his valuation was found out to be a bit to high for Wenger.
However, the striker’s contract is about to expire during this coming summer and we can expect Wenger to make a move to get him on the team.
There are reports that the 25-year-old star is favoring a switch in January. However, due to the fact that the star is ineligible to play with the Gunners in the Champions League, makes it a difficult decision.
Other strikers on Arsenal radars include Real Madrid’s Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Andre-Pierre Gignac from Toulouse.
