City Comes Out on Top of Arsenal in the Carling Cup

Carlos Tevez Scoring It was couple of poor performances on the trot for the Gunners side, when a team of primarily young players and some reserves took the field at the City of Manchester Stadium against the might of Manchester City. And the Eastlands made merry till the final whistle was blown.

Carlos Tevez, Vladmir Weiss and Shaun Wright-Phillips scored for the home side in a 3-0 drubbing of the visiting Arsenal side. Some experts believed that the score line would have been even worse, if the City would have taken all their chances properly.

With this loss, the North London club is out of the Carling Cup competition. After a loss to Chelsea during the weekends, this loss is going to reduce the morale of the side. There are people saying that Arsene Wenger had to play a role in both the games, if they were to even give a fight to their opponent.

Now, the Frenchman will have to come out and get his side out of this drought, so that they can again get that winning habit back, which had them on a 13-game undefeated streak in all competitions (couple of weeks back).
