Gallas reports that he intends to stay at Arsenal. Talks have been made but his contract still remains another year without problems. The 32 year old intends to stick to his contract before decisions are made properly.

“We have not talked about renewing the contract, but I am relaxed and looking forward to next season with Arsenal.”

It is also known the French international turned down Inter Milan. It is safe to say Gallas will be holding the centre back spot another season which will be vital for us.

Although many people would like to see him gone, it is important we have someone who can pull the team together when the going gets tough. After he lost his captaincy, everyone thought he would be on his way out as it seemed he would be unhappy to stick around.

He has proved us wrong. We hope he has a brilliant season in the 09/10 campaign.
