It is official that Kolo Toure has completed his reported £16m move to Manchester City. The news has come directly from Sky Sports. You can read the full report below. Please leave your views and thoughts in the comment area.

Kolo Toure has signed a four-year deal at Manchester City for a fee reported to be in the region of £16million, Sky Sports News understands.

The former Arsenal defender agreed personal terms at Eastlands earlier on Wednesday and successfully passed a medical later in the day.

A severance package, which was thought to be a stumbling block, for Toure has now been agreed with the Gunners and the Ivory Coast star has completed his move.

City boss Mark Hughes has already signed midfielder Gareth Barry and forwards Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor this summer.

The Welshman has now turned his attention to his defence and, after failing in attempts to sign Chelsea captain John Terry, has captured Toure.

Everton’s Joleon Lescott is thought to be next on City’s wanted list after a bid of £15million was rejected by the Toffees earlier in July.

Hughes is understood to be ready to table an improved offer to the Goodison Park hierarchy for the England defender.

Wenger will definitely do something……He knows his game plan……..As usual, African Nations Cup is coming up soon and Toure, Adebayor and Eboue are a particular clique in the team, they will soon depart for the tournament in Jan 2010 when premiership is heating up……..and they are causing a strife currently in the team even among this young boys that want to win something….we don’t need that…..we need team spirit to win something….If we don’t sell them, we will regret it as the season progresses…..Now, AW might go for Viera as DM, but if not he will buy one…then maybe buy Hangeland and Huntelaar……but i gurantee you all, Wenger mean business in winning both EPL and champions league this season……..It may seems like a mirage but mark my words today…….You will begin to see signings soon and quality ones of course…………IN ARSENE I TRUST!!!!!!!
