Arsenal Highlights Match Preview

On Saturday Arsenal will be going head to head with its local rivals Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium. The match is sure to be filled with tension and excitement with Tottenham gunning for Arsenal’s third position on the Premier League table. With their last match ending in a 4-4 draw at the Emirates Stadium last year, both of these teams are certainly going to be at their best.

Arsene Wenger has decided on the goalie that he will be playing in the match, but has refused to disclose his choice. Manuel Almunia has been out of the picture since Arsenal’s Manchester City Match in September, but has been ready to play for the last two weeks. Vito Mannone’s great performance has kept him in the keepers box and it seems Wenger has been taking the safe route and not risking any matches on Almunia. Although, it is apparent that Wenger has been itching to play Almunia in the last few Matches.

“I’ve decided who will start but I won’t tell you,” he said at Friday’s press conference.

“I’m always tempted to start with Manuel Almunia,” said the Frenchman. “But he was sick for a long time and it takes some time to come back.

With the great performance from Nasri, Bendtner, and Eduardo in the 2-1 Carling Cup victory over Liverpool it look as if Wenger may be aiming to keep them on the field and give Fabregas, Van Persie and Arshavin a rest.

Arsenal seems to be in a great position to take on Tottenham and Arsene Wenger has expressed his strong belief in his the abilities of his squad.
