Match Preview:

On Saturday Arsenal will be facing off with Wolverhampton and with their current win streak it looks like the match will be in Arsenal’s favor. With Chelsea and Man Utd duking it out on Sunday it looks like Arsenal will be in a great position, if the team secures a win, to inch their way into the second spot or at least gain some ground in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger has been very impressed lately with the teams 14 goals in the last four league matches and its seems this new found confidence and focus has improved Arsenals game significantly. The Wolves may have a difficult time caging up Robin Van Persie with his recent performances being up to par with the best forwards in the League.

Nicklas Bendtner will be out for the next four weeks with a groin injury that he acquired during the 3-0 victory over the spurs. Also Gael Clichy will still be out with a back injury, but will have Kieran Gibbs ready and motivated to take on his defending role.

With Wenger coming out and explaining that he does not own a position in Arsenal’s Parent company it seems that his best interests of the team as a whole. This means that any decisions he makes will aim to improve the teams results rather than shareholder value, which is just an added for Arsenal fans everywhere.  Here are his comments:

“No, I do not own any shares because I felt always that I must try to do the job with a good work ethic and not to be accused of any decision being of my personal interest.

“I thought always it`s healthier not to be involved in it at all. So I cannot be accused that whatever decision I make looks after my own interest.

“I care and worry about my plans. I look towards the team. I take care of what is my responsibility, and that means the team, the results, the way we play and the next game. So the rest is a little bit above my head.”
